A bunch of Chrysanthemum ‘Royal Glamour’.

Chrysanthemum ‘Royal Glamour’

Description

These bushy but compact plants would be good in containers and are very early to flower. The medium-size, smoky raspberry flowers are borne in sprays and take on a peachy glow as they age, giving the blooms a very unique color and a vintage feel. They would be great for mixed bouquets.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
