Description
Humongous plants produce sprays of large, clear white flowers with buttermilk centers. Full blooms have thick, substantial petals. The color doesn’t feel like fall but would be perfect for weddings.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
