Chrysanthemum ‘Pat Lehman’
Description
Compared to most chrysanthemums, this variety is a very manageable size. Medium-size, soft rosy-peach flowers are borne in sprays, and their centers lighten as they age, leaning towards champagne. A great color for wedding work.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
