A close up of Chrysanthemum Vesuvio

Chrysanthemum ‘Vesuvio’

Description

This tall, productive variety produces sturdy upright sprays of white needle-like petals with a downy pale yellow center. An unusual novelty with a unique appearance.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
