A close up of Chrysanthemum Wind Dancer

Chrysanthemum ‘Wind Dancer’

Description

Tall plants produce thick stems and sprays of starburst-shaped butterscotch blooms. This variety is incredibly beautiful and one of my all-time favorites.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
