A close up of Chrysanthemum Zaryah

Chrysanthemum ‘Zaryah’

Description

Plants produce long, delicate sprays of spider-shaped rusty-peach blooms with gold undertones. Flowers remain upright and don’t unfurl completely. This variety reminds me of fireworks and is a beautiful fall color.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
