Description

The double-flowered blooms of this variety are a dark grape purple. The backs of the petals are lighter in color and curl slightly inward, giving the flower clusters an antique and more textural appearance.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest when one-half to three-quarters of the flowers on the bloom cluster are open and immediately remove most or all of the leaves. Using heavy clippers, recut the stem ends, slice vertically up the stem 2 to 3 inches (5 to 8 cm), and twist backward. Plunge the cut stems immediately into cool water. You can also use Quick Dip and then place stems into water with hydrator. Expect a vase life of 5 to 6 days.
