Pale purple buds open to large, single flowers with 4 rounded petals in a soft pinkish lavender that fades as they age. The flower heads are ball-like, not conical like most lilac varieties. These lightly scented plants have a Victorian-era vibe.

Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest when one-half to three-quarters of the flowers on the bloom cluster are open and immediately remove most or all of the leaves. Using heavy clippers, recut the stem ends, slice vertically up the stem 2 to 3 inches (5 to 8 cm), and twist backward. Plunge the cut stems immediately into cool water. You can also use Quick Dip and then place stems into water with hydrator. Expect a vase life of 5 to 6 days.
