Description
We adore this wildly productive, small anemone-flowered variety. Knee-high plants are bushy and have long, wiry stems topped with sprays of more than a dozen blooms. Tufted flowers are terracotta-colored with pumpkin-orange centers. This long-standing favorite looks great with other fall-toned ingredients.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
