Description
Incredibly tall plants produce a bumper crop of ultra-fluffy blooms that remind me of lemon meringue. Pale yellow flowers lighten as they age, which offers a very fresh color for autumn. This productive variety needs extra staking.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
