A close up of Chrysanthemum Symphony

Chrysanthemum ‘Symphony’

Description

While plants are on the shorter side, they produce a spray of 3 to 5 sunny-apricot blooms with fine, needle-like petals. This textural variety has tons of personality and is a very versatile color for arranging.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
