The lovely, soft champagne-peach flowers on this very early bloomer are borne in delicate sprays and have a vintage, Victorian-era feel. Blooms are not too large, so they would be perfect to arrange with and wonderful for wedding work. A real winner!
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
