Chrysanthemum ‘Champagne Beauty’
Description
This variety has the most beautiful peachy-gold blooms with incurved petals surrounded by a ring of outer petals, many of which have spoon tips. It flowers in a range of colors: Some are more yellow and others are a pale orange. The plants are medium in size, and the flowers are a wonderful size to arrange with. The large, heavy flower heads cascade over in an arrangement, making them a flower arranger’s dream. This is a top favorite!
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
