A bunch of Chrysanthemum ‘Chiffon’.

Chrysanthemum ‘Chiffon’

Description

The buds of these medium-size blooms start off blush, and as they open, flowers age to a soft pink champagne. They have a lovely feminine quality and are a perfect color for weddings. These very early-flowering plants are small to medium in size and would be good in containers.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
