Description
These large, dense, almost cupped flowers are an unusual smoky raspberry washed with gold. The color is stunning! The medium-size plants are vigorous and would benefit from staking.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
