Description
Medium-large plants produce sturdy stems topped with sprays of palm-sized, soft lavender flowers with incurved petals and golden centers. Blooms have a fuzzy quality and look as if they’ve been kissed by frost!
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
