A bunch of Chrysanthemum ‘Harry Anderton’.

Chrysanthemum ‘Harry Anderton’

Description

Pretty, soft blush anemone flowers are borne in generous sprays on waist-high plants. Their fuzzy, domed centers are dusted with gold. Although they have a delicate appearance, flowers are actually quite tough and long lasting.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
