Description
These medium-size plants produce sprays of small to medium-size soft lavender flowers that fade to white as they age. The flower form is not very exciting, but the color is lovely and they would be good for wedding work.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
