A bunch of Chrysanthemum ‘Honeyglow’.

Chrysanthemum ‘Honeyglow’

Description

The flowers on these medium-tall plants are densely petaled and are borne in clusters. The medium-size blooms start out a soft orange and turn gold as they mature. This variety has a common, grocery store vibe.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
