Chrysanthemum ‘Lily Anderton’
Description
With its daisy-like form, soft pink petals, and golden centers, this variety is quite similar in appearance to ‘Harry Anderton’, but the outer petals are a slightly darker shade of pink and the centers are less tufted, giving the flowers a more casual look.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
