Description
The metallic-gold undersides of this incurved variety provide a striking contrast against the rusty orange-red of the petals’ inner sides. The medium-large flowers have a lax, slightly messy form. They are real showstoppers and the color combination makes this variety a must-have for autumn.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
