Ranunculus ‘Amandine Tiger’

Features

  • Suitable for containers

Description

Flower arrangers will go crazy over this variety, which looks like a flower in a Dutch still life painting. The unusual color range of ivory, pale lemon, and buttercream edged with cranberry and burgundy make this a great bridge for design work. As flowers open, they reveal a frilled green center.

Varieties in the Amandine series have larger blooms, are generally more heat-tolerant, and flower a little later in the season when compared to those in the La Belle series.

Details

Height: 10 to 15 in
Site: full sun

Harvesting/Vase Life

Cut when buds are colored and squishy like a marshmallow, but not yet fully open, for a vase life of 7 to 12 days. If the blooms are open when cut, they’ll still last a week but will be more fragile to transport.
