Chrysanthemum ‘Coral Cavalier’
Description
These medium-size plants produce densely domed flowers with multicolored petals in peach, coral, and strawberry. The form is quite standard, but the coloring is very unique and they would be good in mixed bouquets and straight bunches.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
