Chrysanthemum ‘Icicles’
Description
This dense, stocky grower has dark green, ferny foliage. Extremely textural, waxy flowers are borne in sprays of 5 to 7 white blooms with green centers. A very unique and eye-catching variety.
Harvesting/Vase Life
Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
