A close up of Chrysanthemum Pink John Wingfield

Chrysanthemum ‘Pink John Wingfield’

Description

This massive, vigorous grower is loaded with sprays of medium-large, pinky-lavender blooms. As flowers mature their shape becomes more pronounced.

Harvesting/Vase Life

Harvest individual stems when the flowers are one-half to two-thirds open. For spray varieties, harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem have opened. Chrysanthemums are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of more than 2 weeks with floral preservative.
